Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) is the second highest budget university in Bangladesh. It was established in 18th August 1961. BAU’s research in agriculture make a great reputation across Asia. The ratio between teacher & students is lower than any other university in Bangladesh. It has 43 departments under 6 faculties. BAU is situated on the western bank of the Bhramaputra River in Mymensingh. It has 12 residential halls (9 halls for male and 3 halls for female).
